The tender buds of this tea have a purple color to them, and the dry leaves (two leaves and bud) look similar to bamboo. This green tea comes from the Guzhu village, in ChangXing County, near Huzhou City, in the Zhejiang Province. Another early harvest tea, the Purple Bamboo has a deep, floral smell, with a delicate, slightly grassy taste with no bitterness. A hint of sweetness on the finish makes this an excellent, premium selection.
